Hunargharr – in Hindi, means “a treasure chest of talent”. For us, as artists, it’s more than just a name; it’s a celebration of creativity, self-expression, and the belief that every individual carries a unique art within them. Hunargharr was born from the heart of Jaipur, the Pink City, where colours, patterns, and stories blend together just like our friendship.
I’m Sejal, the founder, and alongside me is Tanushree, my best friend since school and now the proud co-founder of Hunargharr. Since we were teenagers, we dreamed of starting something of our own – something that would let our creativity breathe. For years, we didn’t know exactly what that would be. Our plans kept changing, life kept testing us, but our bond and determination never wavered.
The final spark came from something deeply personal – my own struggle with body confidence. I always wanted to wear stylish tops, trendy dresses, and expressive clothing, but my insecurities about weight held me back. Then I realised – I’m not alone. There are countless women who hold back from dressing the way they truly want, not because they lack style, but because they’ve been made to doubt themselves. Hunargharr became my answer – a clothing brand where every girl, no matter her size or shape, can feel confident, beautiful, and seen.
